A Big Help for an Older Men’s-League PlayerI’m a 55-year-old men’s-league baseball player and a

I’m a 55-year-old men’s-league baseball player and a Navy veteran, not the typical high-school, college, or youth player these products often target. Recurrent irritation and inflammation around my hamate can make hitting painful, particularly while working on the proper palm-up, palm-down position through contact.

The Launch Pad thumb guard has made a real difference. It reduces the uncomfortable pressure in my hand, helps me swing with less pain, and reinforces better wrist and hand positioning instead of allowing me to fall into compensatory mechanics. That lets me concentrate on the pitch and my swing rather than anticipating pain.

It is a small piece of equipment, but it has become an important part of keeping me active and competitive in baseball. The company has also been excellent to work with and genuinely supportive of its customers. I highly recommend it, particularly to older players dealing with hand discomfort who still want to play and train seriously.
