I’m a 55-year-old men’s-league baseball player and a Navy veteran, not the typical high-school, college, or youth player these products often target. Recurrent irritation and inflammation around my hamate can make hitting painful, particularly while working on the proper palm-up, palm-down position through contact.

The Launch Pad thumb guard has made a real difference. It reduces the uncomfortable pressure in my hand, helps me swing with less pain, and reinforces better wrist and hand positioning instead of allowing me to fall into compensatory mechanics. That lets me concentrate on the pitch and my swing rather than anticipating pain.

It is a small piece of equipment, but it has become an important part of keeping me active and competitive in baseball. The company has also been excellent to work with and genuinely supportive of its customers. I highly recommend it, particularly to older players dealing with hand discomfort who still want to play and train seriously.

Best Thumbguard on the market

Best Thumbguard on the market. My 7 year old softball player struggled with bat sting and started to hate hitting. Tried other thumbguards but they were too bulky and wouldn't help. Since getting her Launchpad thumbguard its made a night and day difference! Her confidence is way up and its helped her on and off the field during lessons. She loves that it isn't bulky, its feels comfortable and her bat sits perfectly in the shape of the thumbguard and doesn't take away from gripping her bat. Highly recommend for youth players and players of all ages!

Best thumb guard ever

I spent my Whole career hating the thumb guards like pro hitter, thumb pro because I did not like how fat and uncomfortable they were on my hand but I got to college and saw everyone else wearing one so I figured i’d give thumb guards another chance but saw the launchpad O.G and how it’s channeled to the shape of the bat which i love because i can still feel the bat and not have the fat feeling so I ordered it and I have not taken a swing without it since i got it in the fall this has been the best thumb guard i’ve had and will not ever buy anything else but launchpad thumb guards! Amazing product, also very durable

Thumb Guard Review

Best thumb guards on the market. Used it for the first time playing in the NECBL this summer and loved it. I have tried different kinds over the years and this one feels the best. It works with the shape of your hand and does not impede your feel in any way. Also definitely absorbs shock if you catch one off the hands. Highly recommend!
